ABSTRACT
The article discusses the increase of illegal immigration travel through Greece for entry into Europe. Topics include the economic struggles for migrants amidst the Greek recession, anti-immigrant nationalist groups, and the efforts of the Greek government and Frontex, border patrol of the European Union (EU), to strengthen security against border crossing. Statistical information about the demographics of the migration to Europe are also provided.
