ABSTRACT
The article reports that Bridgeville, Pennsylvania-based Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc. has acquired the asset of Patriot Special Metals Inc. Universal president Denny Oates that the move strengthens the position of his company. He emphasizes that adding Patriot's facility to Universal's operation will enable his company to enter high nickel alloy and super alloy markets for aerospace parts. He stresses that the acqusition will also increase the utilization of Universal's melt shop.
