ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the healthcare market in the area of Washington, D.C., Alexandria and Arlington in Virginia. It says that the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) laid the foundation for an integrated emergency preparedness network before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. According to Steve Ennis of the VHHA, the area's program is strong because of the relationship between the state emergency management department, state health department and VHHA.
