The article discusses a multicase study that compares two different network-level performance measurement systems. Case study A was conducted in 2009 and case study B was done in the spring and autumn 2010. The case networks are both franchising networks selling kitchen fittings and the study centers on the implementation and testing process of the network-level performance measurement system. The literature and empirical evidence on network-level performance measurement appears to be limited to financial measures. The frameworks that have been presented for constructing a performance measurement system contain various number of phases and use different methods. The results indicate that the performance measurement system is mainly similar in both networks.
