ABSTRACT
The article reports on the digital edge achieved by insurance companies in the U.S. through implementing improved data analytics in 2011. According to LexisNexis Risk Solutions Inc. vice president Bill Madison, the move will offer competitive advantage to insurers since their customers will have greater understanding on the products that they really need. Meanwhile, insurance firms are also facing a challenge regarding the right balancing of automated processes.
