ABSTRACT
The article presents research on school bullying. It discusses the hegemonic patterns of masculinity and heteronormativity. It tackles the concept of autoethnography. It evaluates the author's personal experience from bullying. It offers information on the book "Muscle: Confessions of an Unlikely Bodybuilder," by Sam Fussell and notes that it illustrates the transformation of a student into a muscle-bound manifestation of hypermasculinity. It mentions the development of Fussell's sense of confidence and control by working out in the gym.
