ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the issues that the Government Relations Team of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) in the U.S. are working on which are designed to protect and advance business interests. It discusses the major Federal issues including tax rules, health-care reform, and financial-services regulatory reform. Meanwhile, State issues that are addressed include health insurance exchanges, commission disclosure regulation, and taxation of life insurance.
