ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study examining whether adding clopidogrel to proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) is associated with increased risk for cardiovascular (CV) events in adults hospitalized for myocardial infarction (MI). The study found that clopidogrel reduces risk for death, MI, and stroke when added to aspirin, and adding clopidogrel to proton-pump inhibitors was not associated with increased risk for cardiovascular events in these adults.
