ABSTRACT
The article presents a study on a method used in genomic DNA isolation in plants without using liquid nitrogen. The study used several leaf samples from 10 plants including Aegle marmelos, Oroxylum indicum, and Trianthema portulacastrum. Results shows that the extracted DNA were stable and gave similar results in polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, PCR-RFLP, microsatellite fingerprinting, and random amplified of polymorphic DNA (RAPD).
