ABSTRACT
The article offers the author's insights regarding the importance of business to business (B2B) electronic (e)-marketplaces in the hospitality industry. He says that B2B e-marketplaces allow trading partners to increase their revenues, cut costs and gain competitive advantages. He discusses several key criteria to be considered by hotel industry in implementing and defining (e)-marketplace strategy including competitive e-marketplace strategy, speed to market and open standards.
