The article discusses common traps in upgrading or buying computer systems in the hospitality industry. It discusses several problems in upgrading or buying hotel systems including the lack of support from the executive department, bad timing, and too small budget. It highlights several issues related to the implementation of the system including poor communication, insufficient infrastructure preparation, and inadequate data preparation.
