ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the use of the process called CentrilPipe, also known as centrifugally cast concrete pipe (CCCP) by the Sabine River Authority (SRA) of Texas for fixing its siphons. It states that the siphons had cracked and were leaking for which SRA decided to go with cured in place pipe (CIPP) which did not work. CentriPipe was adopted in which spincaster and automated retrieval system is used to apply grout to pipe interiors.

The article discusses the rehabilitation project by the Sabine River Authority (SRA) of the 40 siphon crossings in its network. The cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) method was the preferred method but for the larger-diameter siphons, the CentriPipe system, a centrifugally cast lining solution from...

The article explains the mechanisms of the solar drainback systems. The solar energy collection cycle in a drainback system is initiated just like in an antifreeze-based system. A drainback system may contain either two circulators in series or a single high head variable-speed circulator. The...

The article focuses on changes that plumbers are seeing in high-efficiency toilet (HET) models. It mentions that some HET models operate on a single flush while others operate with a dual flush. It notes that the contour of the well can contribute to the generation of a strong siphon. It offers...

The article discusses the possibility of transferring thermal-siphon heat from the alternative energy heat storage system into the distribution piping system. It suggests to make certain that the distribution main is at the lowest possible height to avoid a guaranteed thermal-siphon condition...

When water shortages occur, toilet water-saving becomes an effective way to solve the problem. We developed a new method that utilizes the accumulated flow rate to predict the flushing performance and to obtain design data for the development of high-efficiency toilets. The results showed that...
