ABSTRACT
The author offers opinions on U.S. armed forces medals and decorations. He expresses support for the 2006 Stolen Valor Act, a law which makes it a misdemeanor to false claim a military decoration. A ruling by the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that the law is an unconstitutional violation of free speech is strongly criticized.
