ABSTRACT
The article presents a study by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) which examines the goals and activities of the U.S. Department Of Commerce's Office of Manufacturing and Services (MAS), and its communication with trade policy. The study reviewed agency documents and interviewed officials from MAS and International Trade Administration (ITA). Results show that there is a need for the Secretary of Commerce to take actions to finalize the MAS's focusing of priorities and mission.
