ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study that identified the content of selected elementary general music teachers' self-evaluation of their own instruction and that of another elementary general music teacher. The study's participants explained their teaching methods and reflected on their teaching as well as another teacher's instructional strategy after viewing videotapes of lessons and undergoing an open-ended interview process. Instructional techniques that elementary general music teachers may employ are also described, including harmony, singing, composition, and rhythm.
