ABSTRACT
The article presents an economic forecast in 2011 in Hungary specifically on the growing potential for a rate cut. It projects the stagnancy of the bank interest rates in 2011 due to the uncertainty over medium-term inflationary trends and the prevalence of heightened global risk aversion. The inflationary risks and the weakening of the domestic economic recovery are some of the factors that will lead to the one-off rate cut.
