ABSTRACT
The article reports on the purchase of the Sanex personal care brand from Unilever Group by Colgate-Palmolive Co. in 2011. The agreement to buy Sanex brand was signed and disclosed in March. According to Ian Cook, chairman, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Colgate, the company is excited in moving forward on the strategically significant acquisition that will strengthen the position of Colgate in shower gel categories.
