Dr. Martens Tape Backups Booted for Disk-Based Data

The article reports on the deployment of an Iomega StorCenter desktop network attached storage (NAS) server by Dr. Martens. The NAS server from data protection provider Iomega has been chosen to improve data protection and disaster recovery as well as reduce time and work needed to secure a virtualized VMware environment of the shoe company. The server is responsible for ensuring optimum data availability for employees at subsidiary Dr. Martens Airwair LLC. The server replaces the existing tape-based backup and recovery system.
