ABSTRACT
The authors discuss digital technologies used in daily life along with the rise of media platforms and networks. The authors agree that proliferating digital technologies and social media networks are dominating the way culture is shared and knowledge is produced in the society that is globally connected. Also discussed is networked communications, new forms of censorship, surveillance and control and its implications on education.
