ABSTRACT
The article discusses the remarks given by Renée Markus Hodin of the Integrated Care Advocacy Project at Boston, Massachusetts-based Community Catalyst regarding the effectiveness of the medical homes program launched under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). She reports that the initiative has benefited chronically ill patients particularly in North Carolina. She describes the medical savings associated with the implementation of the program. She also mentions how states can offer the health home option to patients.
