ABSTRACT
The article presents summaries of papers about roses published in research journals throughout the world. A paper on the carotinoid content of rose hips appeared in "Food Chemistry." A genetic map for diploid roses has been developed and reported in "Theoretical and Applied Genetics." A research which appeared in "Post Harvest Biology and Technology," has revealed that sodium hydrogen sulfide can act as a regulator and signaling molecule in plants, such as Rosa chinensis.
