ABSTRACT
The article discusses the compromise agreement between the Washington Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and representatives of state parks, county government, and environmental camps to pay timber revenue of Skagit County, Washington. It states that the WDNR will set aside 1,600 acres for habitat and recreation and purchase 12 million U.S. dollars of timber lands. It also mentions that local governments will co-manage the community forests to make revenue that pays the cost of management.
