The article discusses the author's views on the postmerger integration in the U.S. It states the five guidelines on the criticality of effective postmerger integration including that strategic business plan is required, that it is essential to have a clear plan to address cultural integration, and that changes to governance and senior management are often needed. According to the author, the most successful postmerger organizations have exceptional management leadership.
