ABSTRACT
The article reports on the insights and analysis of Market Rates Insight Inc. (MRI) on the impact of Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act on business deposits. It states that the analysis of MRI suggests possible change in business deposits, which could result from law, particularly the Section 627 repealing Section 19(i) of the Federal Reserve Act. According to MRI, banks and credit unions are using "wait-and-see approach" in for the plans for business-checking interest.
