The article presents information on the advantages of mediation which is used to solve workplace disputes. According to recruitment consultancy Ambition, employment tribunal claims cost businesses in Great Britain 1.6 billion British pounds in fees, awards and out-of-court settlements. Alex Efthymiades, co-founder of Consensio, says mediation is a voluntary approach that stops people hiding behind process and gets them talking. It is said to be also cheaper since the average cost of an internal mediation is 700 British pounds.
