ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs on personnel management in Great Britain as of June 2011 including the findings of the HR Outlook survey of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) which revealed that human resources (HR) teams have some way to go to improve their own succession planning, the revelation made by a government-commissioned report that there are plans to turn the Post Office into a mutualised organisation owned by its employees and customers and the discovery of a survey that many HR professionals are frustrated with their software systems.
