ABSTRACT
The article presents the findings of a survey conducted by the journal on challenges faced by independent insurance adjusters in the U.S. during 12 months ending March 2011. The survey reveals that adjusters might face uncertain future, as many have seen lowering revenues during the period. It informs that insurance companies are making efforts to reduce expenses by using in-house adjusters. It reveals that adjusters are hopeful that their services will pickup pace as economy improves.
