ABSTRACT
The article offers the author's insights on the transition of the University of Calgary Press to open access publishing. It tells that the "Making a difference. Making you think" vision of the Press signifies its support in publishing works which provoke conversation. It says that the authors were supportive in publishing their works online. It add that the Press converts the books to pdf formats and has developed a database of various African institutions.
