ABSTRACT
The article reflects on the speech delivered by U.S. President Barack Obama at the University of Cairo in June 2011 where he allegedly laid out his Middle East doctrine. The author contends that though Obama may have been significant in the fall of the dictators, the Egyptian revolution has not taken up the values of Obama. It presents arguments against the propositions of Obama who allegedly appropriated for himself the success of the Egyptian and Tunisian revolts.
