ABSTRACT
An introduction is presented in which the editor discusses various reports within the issue on topics including the use of Internet to identify patient at risk of airway disease and the capability of automated screening of electronic health record (EHR) clinical data repository to determine patient at risk of postoperative acute lung injury.
