ABSTRACT
The article offers the author's insights on avoiding pitfalls of being connected with the web, use of e-mail, and conducting business through internet. The author discusses three pitfalls namely spam, or the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited messages, phishing, the attempt to get sensitive information, and computer virus. He also mentions several tips to fight the pitfalls which include updating the software, turning on the spam filter, and providing password strategies.
