ABSTRACT
The article reports that the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) State Snapshots, an interactive online benchmarking tool, has been saved from budget cuts after some organizations claim it is too useful. Ernest Moy of the AHRQ's Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, the tool was on the list of potential cuts in 2011. It cites Paul Pietzsch of the Health Policy Corporation of Iowa as one of those who urged AHRQ to keep State Snapshots. Particular focus is given to how the State Snapshots tool works.
