ABSTRACT
The article offers a summary of a speech delivered by William A. Zellmer at the Pharmacy Practice Model Summit held November 2010 in Dallas, Texas. He summarized the key messages from the summit, and stated that the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative will be a success if pharmacy staffs understand the imperative to transform pharmacy practice. Zellmer also highlighted the need for bold decisions by pharmacy leaders to change the infrastructure.
