ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the offshore oil and gas field developments in various Arctic and sub-Arctic areas. It states that Statoil ASA in Norway was planning to drill a new prospect in the north of Sn�hvit field as well as to develop drilling in Skrugard license area. It mentions that the assembly of two fifth-generation Moss Maritime CS-50 harsh environment semisubmersible drilling units is part of the Phase I development plan in the Shtokman offshore gas and condensate field in Russia.
