ABSTRACT
This article presents the important role of semicolon to various writers in the world. It notes the important use of semicolon which are the embodiment of discrepancy, suggests completion, the absence of completion and creates rhythm. It mentions that semicolon willfully encourage desires for closure while maintaining some formal method of refusing, withholding and suspending.
