ABSTRACT
The article looks at the strategies for servicers to auction real estate owned (REO) properties in the U.S. Sean Randall of Total Property Advisors LLC believes that using an absolute auction is a good method to sell an asset because of the volume of distressed properties in the market. Joshua Olshin of Tranzon Integrated Property Group also notes that the minimum reserve strategy is the most frequently used method since it can generate excitement and represent an attractive value.
