ABSTRACT
The article reports on the expansion plans of steel producers and processors in Mexico, notwithstanding its recession and fearful reputation. There is a possibility that service centers and processors will build their shops in the state. ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA LLC sees the state as one of its viable target markets to better serve the Mexicans. Industrias CH sets its billet plant in Rio Bravo to provide materials to its Aceros y Laminados Sigosa steel sections mill in Matamoros.
