ABSTRACT
The article presents information on Wang Xing, the founder of a failed Chinese takeoff, who cloned Facebook in 2005. Wang and his Fanfou friends cloned again, launching Meituan, a copy of the crowd-discounting business Groupon Inc., in March 2010. According to China's 21st Century Business Herald, instead of surrendering, the clones have bumped up their advertising budgets.
