The author expresses her views on several issues related to information and communications technology (ICT) in 2010 including prosperity, and human development, and gender. She states that there has been several changes in information technology from the time it was discussed at the Harvard Forum in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2003. She also offers information on the potential threat that ICT poses to women.
