The article offers information on the condition of the copper cable market. It states that a growth in copper cables is expected to reach over 10 billion dollars in 2016 from 4 billion dollars in 2011. It mentions that unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cables make up 92.5% of the U.S.' total copper cable industry, with coaxial cables that account for 1.6% and 2.2% for shielded twisted-pair (STP) cables. It adds that STP cables are projected to reach the 26.4% growth rate.
