The article reports that Western Michigan University (WMU) and its Board of Trustees have eyed on the 68 million dollars new money-debt offering in May 2011. Accordingly, the loan proceeds will be used in the financing of three major projects and to refund worth 15.6 million dollars of outstanding 2001 bonds. It adds that the new borrowing will drive WMU's outstanding debt to 314 million dollars and all in a fixed rate mode.
