ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the report from U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) that food aid serves as life-saving calories and nutrients to people for short-term emergencies in U.S. It says that U.S. spent 1.5 billion dollars for food aid emergency reaches 46.5 million beneficiaries in 2010. GAO suggests Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and Secretary of Agriculture to address nutritional deficiency and evaluate the effectiveness of specialized products.
