ABSTRACT
The article offers advice to parents on how to raise health children and reduce the rates of childhood obesity and overweight. Some recommendations for healthy habits in children include eating 5 to 9 fruits and vegetables daily, eating three meals daily and allowing less than 2 hours of screen time daily. To encourage children to eat healthy foods, the article suggests offering healthy options and eating together as a family with the television set turned off. It also recommends encouraging children to increase their activities.
