ABSTRACT
The article features watercolorist Bev Jozwiak and her watercolor paintings that have the richness of oil paintings. The author says Jozwiak uses thick applications of paint and elements of both realism and abstraction to create that effect. She writes of the artist's creating an atmosphere of longing, strength and beauty in her works such as the "Delicate Dancer," "Queen for a Day" and "Frolic." Jozwiak says that for her, "bold" means confident brushstrokes and being sure of oneself. She describes herself as very decisive.
