ABSTRACT
The article presents an update on various political and economic developments in the U.S. The article first provides reasons for the state of the economy in the U.S. Then the article offers an overview of the Senatorial campaigns from various states. In Connecticut, the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations combine has refused to endorse both Senatorial Candidates Lowell Weicker and Toby Moffett. In Maryland, Larry Hogan competing against liberal Senator Paul Sarhanes has hired former Voice of America Executive Phil Nicolaides as communications director.
