The article focuses on the issues concerning human rights violations during the reign of Augusto Pinochet as president of Chile. A comparison between the rule of Pinochet and dictators Francisco Franco of Spain and Mao Tse-tung of China is offered. The repression in Chile under Pinochet's government is discussed.
