ABSTRACT
The article criticizes the economic advocacy of Lawrence Klein, the chief economic advisor to U.S. presidential candidate Jimmy Carter. It comments on Klein's unemployment forecast which is in contrast with Carter's economic outlook. It criticizes Klein's advocacy of a monetary policy that aims to keep interest rates 1 percent lower than otherwise.
