ABSTRACT
This article features the launch of the CATO train operations management system in the Swedish rail network. Developed by Transrail, the system opens up the prospect of interoperable eco-driving systems for the country's entire rail network. The company aims to meet the rising demand for driver assistance systems as railways seek to reduce operating costs, improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
