ABSTRACT
The article discusses the opportunities offered to public utilities by the Regulatory Asset Base (Rab) model for financing infrastructure projects in Great Britain. Rab may allow water companies to extend their responsibility of managing water resources to a national level. It may also result to a sub-national water grid and large-scale treatment facilities that are located strategically. Other opportunities are in the area of sludge disposal and incineration.
