ABSTRACT
The article presents a firsthand account of a travel experience in Munich, Germany. The author describes the pedestrian zones in Munich. He mentions that Munich has its share of machines for living and doing business. He also offers information on Föhn, a wind that allegedly blows from the Alps, sapping the energy of Müncheners and giving them headaches, upset stomachs, and an alibi for every misery. The Föhn is a favorite conversational topic among Müncheners.
